Renovate your home and improve its energy performance
A renovation is a practical time to review insulation, windows, doors and heating together. Vlas Construction plans these improvements as part of substantial home renovations in The Hague and approximately 50 km around the city.

Start with the building, not a standard package
Tell us what you want to change and what you know about the property. Existing insulation, moisture, glazing and the layout affect the work. Opening a floor or replacing internal finishes may provide access for improvements that would be harder to make later.
Coordinate insulation, glazing and heating
Insulation limits heat loss, but the details at junctions and openings matter too. New windows and doors need suitable connections to the surrounding construction. Ventilation must remain adequate as the home becomes more airtight.
Review underfloor heating alongside the floor build-up and insulation. The choice of heating system also depends on the building’s heat demand. Agree which installation work and specialist assessments are included before proceeding.

Agree the work and expected results
The quotation should distinguish the proposed measures, materials, finishing work and exclusions. A renovation does not automatically deliver a particular energy label or a fixed saving. A specific performance target needs a project assessment.
Check subsidy conditions before committing
Some insulation work may qualify for support, subject to current requirements. Check the ISDE insulation conditions at RVO before agreeing work or relying on a subsidy. Eligibility is not guaranteed.
