Set out the pattern and border
Agree the laying direction, the position of the pattern and its relationship to doorways and adjoining rooms. Review whether a border is wanted and how it will meet the skirting. A drawing or agreed sample helps describe the intended result before materials are ordered.
Review the base before agreeing the method
Discuss the existing floor, its condition and any preparation identified for the selected parquet. Ask which installation method and materials are proposed. Record any further checks and their timing rather than assuming that the same preparation suits every building.
Agree the finish of the new floor
Confirm the colour and surface finish, including whether finishing work on site is included. Ask what care information will be provided and when the floor can be used under the specified product instructions. Send your plans and preferred examples to discuss the renovation. Standalone sanding, refinishing and restoration of existing parquet are outside this service.
