Vlas Construction includes masonry work within substantial home renovations in The Hague and approximately 50 km around the city. The proposed work starts with the existing building, not a standard material package.
Define which parts of the building will change
Mark retained masonry and proposed changes on the drawings. Describe where new work must meet existing walls, openings or floor levels. If structural changes are proposed, agree who will provide the necessary assessment before the design is finalised. Masonry material selection does not replace that assessment.
Agree the visible result and adjoining work
Discuss whether the masonry will remain visible or receive another finish. For visible work, agree the material, joint appearance and any samples needed before ordering. Record how the new work should meet retained surfaces rather than assuming an exact visual match is available.
Include preparation and making good in the scope
The quotation should distinguish materials, preparation, masonry work and surrounding finishes. Clarify arrangements for removed materials and any work by other trades. Share drawings and photographs to discuss the renovation scope. Small standalone repairs and restoration work are outside this service.
