Review the openings and existing frames
Discuss the condition of the openings, how windows should open and the appearance you want to retain or change. Dimensions, surrounding masonry and internal finishes affect the replacement work. Any change to the opening needs separate assessment.
Choose glazing and frames together
Frame materials, glazing and installation details all contribute to performance. Compare the specifications for the complete window, not only the glass. Consider ventilation provisions and the effect on the rest of the home as draughts are reduced.
Include connections and making good
The quotation should cover removal, installation, weather sealing and the agreed internal and external finishing. Check whether sills, plasterwork or painting are included. Permission requirements may depend on the location and property, so confirm them before ordering.
No isolated repairs or single-window replacements
We do not offer small window repairs, restoration of old frames or replacement of one individual window. This service is intended for window work within a substantial renovation. There is no automatic promise of a particular energy label or saving.
