Consider the room before choosing a radiator
Mark proposed furniture, doors, windows and built-in cupboards on the plan. Discuss which radiators can remain and where a different position may be needed. Review planned insulation and other heating changes before making the equipment selection; appearance alone should not determine the proposal.
Agree what will be retained or replaced
Ask for a clear description of the radiators, connections and controls included in the quotation. Identify work on existing pipework separately from the supply of new equipment. Any assumptions about the current installation should be resolved or recorded before work starts.
Plan connections and finishing
Coordinate the heating work with changes to floors, walls and decoration. Clarify who makes good old fixing points and areas opened for pipework.
